Sunway Agility Challenge
Sunway Agility Challenge is Sunway Group's flagship talent development programme, first launched in 2023 as a 12-week immersive experience. In 2024, the programme was reimagined into a condensed 2-week format featuring four business unit rotations — where teams tackled real case challenges and pitched solutions to industry leaders. That format continued through 2025, producing over 120 alumni from top universities across Malaysia, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, and beyond.
Now in 2026, SAC evolves again. Over 14 days, participants rotate across Sunway's diverse business units — not as observers, but as contributors. They work directly inside real operations, take on live tasks, and deliver outcomes alongside industry mentors. Each year, SAC spotlights different sectors, ensuring fresh challenges and new industries every edition.
Working in teams across structured rotations, participants gain hands-on exposure to how businesses actually run — from the ground up. Complementary workshops on design thinking, business fundamentals, and other relevant themes tied to that year's challenge round out the experience.
SAC is more than a programme — it's a proving ground. Where classroom knowledge meets real business pressure, and potential becomes visible. Reimagined for 2026, SAC moves beyond case competitions and solution pitches. Participants are placed inside real Sunway operations, given real tasks, and held to real standards. The experience is deliberately challenging — because that's where the best talent reveals itself. For participants, SAC is a rare window into how some of Malaysia's most diverse businesses actually operate. For Sunway's business units, it's an early look at the next generation of talent — assessed not through interviews, but through work.

What is the Sunway Agility Challenge?
The Sunway Agility Challenge (SAC) is a hands-on programme where you'll team up to tackle real operational challenges across Sunway's business units. Forget ideation — this time, you're embedded in actual operations, solving real problems that real businesses face every day. Along the way, you'll get mentorship from industry experts and workshops to sharpen your business and other skills.
Who is eligible to apply?
If you’re a Pre-University or Undergraduate student from any field of study, you’re welcome to apply! We accept students from both local institutions and top universities around the world—including those in the UK, US, Australia, and beyond.
When does the application period begin?
Application starts from 1 June 2026 and ends on 17 July 2026
How long is the programme period?
The programe runs for 14 days, from 10th August to 23th August 2026. Don’t worry—we’ll provide accommodation and meals throughout the entire period so you can stay focused and comfortable while working on-site in Sunway City.
How does the rotation work?
You'll kick things off with training and workshops to equip you with the right skills. From there, you'll rotate across multiple real Sunway business units — each rotation tied to a live operational challenge, with two to four days dedicated per challenge. It's hands-on, fast-paced, and designed to give you genuine industry exposure across multiple sectors in one programme.
What can I gain?
SAC gives you the chance to work on real business problems while gaining practical exposure in both technical and soft skill development. You'll rotate through different Sunway industries, attend hands-on workshops, and receive direct mentorship from business leaders. It’s a great way to build confidence, grow your network, and gain industry insights. Plus, outstanding participants may be considered for a fast-tracked application process for future opportunities with Sunway. And yes—you’ll also walk away with a certificate to celebrate your journey.
Are there any application fees to apply for the Sunway Agility Challenge?
Nope—it’s completely free to apply and participate in the Sunway Agility Challenge! We’ve got your accommodation and meals covered too, so you can focus fully on the experience without worrying about extra costs.
Are there any allowances for participants?
No allowances will be provided, but each participant will receive full access to accommodation, meals, mentorship, and professional development opportunities—an experience valued at up to RM10,000 per person. It’s our way of investing in your growth, so you can focus fully on the challenge without financial worry.
